At Sun Berry Orchard, we are a family of farmers fueled by a passion for providing the freshest, most delicious and healthiest organic produce to our community. We believe that good food and environmental stewardship go hand in hand. We are committed to promoting sustainable farming practices and preserving the planet for future generations.
First orchard and farm established in Mundelein, Illinois
We planted 4000 apple trees here

We started selling fresh farm produce
and pasture raised meats.
First Market Opens
Serves as a full-service butcher shop and Ukrainian deli today
Open farm stand selling fresh produce
Start constructing cider mill.
Petting Zoo added in 2023!
We begin studying sausage recipes to continue
to add healthy delicious options to our product
offerings. 2024 begins with the introduction
of our farm products in Skokie.

Our Story
At Sun Berry Orchard, we are a family of farmers with roots in Ukraine, but have been proudly serving the local communities of Chicago for years. We are dedicated to providing our customers with the freshest and most delicious organic produce, grown locally on our farm.
In 2018, we established our first orchard in Mundelein, IL and have since grown to meet the needs of multiple communities around the area. Our farm is known for its specialty in apple farming, where we have successfully grown over 150 varieties of fruit trees across four different orchards, including Sour Cherries and Plums in many varieties such as “Bubblegum, Castleton” and “Grant Prize”.
We take pride in our commitment to the well-being of our animals, who are allowed to live in the most comfortable environment where they can roam freely, enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, and live like they want. Our chickens, for example, are able to swim in pools and walk around outdoors, while our pigs live with plenty of open space, grass, sunshine, forest to roam, freshwater, and freedom. This results in the freshest and tastiest produce and highest quality fresh and smoked meat products.
We are confident that our produce is 100% Non-GMO, with no antibiotics and no additives, making it the healthiest option for you and your family. We invite you to visit our gardens and pick fresh produce during your stay, or you check out our store where you can find all sorts of delicious fruits and vegetables grown by us.
